Why sizes matter more than anything else

Nobody searches for “free clothes” and takes whatever shows up. Parents need the next size up before the growth spurt, not after. Adults need a fit that works. So every listing here carries a gender and size tag, and the size pages above only show exact matches.

Toddler sizes (2T, 3T, 4T) turn over fastest, because kids outgrow them in months. If you have a bin of outgrown kids' clothes, listing it by size is the single most useful thing you can do with it — see what to do with outgrown kids' clothes.

Getting free clothes shipped

Clothes are light, which makes them the cheapest thing to ship. A folded kids' tee in a poly mailer often costs only a few dollars in postage. At checkout you'll see: postage (from the packed weight and your ZIP), plus a $2 packing buffer, plus the $2.99 service fee. The garment is $0.

How to list clothes you no longer wear

  1. Wash it, then photograph it flat in good light, plus a shot of the size tag.
  2. Choose the category (men's, women's, boys', girls') and enter the size exactly as the tag reads.
  3. Pick SHIP, PICKUP or both. For SHIP, enter the packed weight.
  4. Publish at $0. When someone claims it, you get the address (or pickup details) and a label.

Bundling works well for kids: “Boys 3T, 6 summer tops” gets claimed faster than six separate listings. More tips in how to give away clothes.
